Justice the Pit Bull is much more than what initially meets the eye, like most dogs. Despite not fitting the typical mold of a dog, he is still stunning in his own right. However, he had a difficult beginning to his life, which was entirely beyond his control. Despite being mistreated and abandoned, Justice eventually made his way to the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter, where he finally experienced what it was like to be loved and treated with respect, as every dog should be. Justice is now beating the odds and enjoying his life, only hoping that those who committed his heinous attack will be held accountable.
In 2018, Indiana police discovered Justice wandering the streets. He was approximately two years old and had severe chemical burns all over his body that appeared to have been inflicted intentionally. By some miracle, he managed to survive on his own for a brief period.

The group provided Justice with the necessary medical care right away. Initially, he needed to be bandaged, but then his skin began to heal, and some of his fur gradually started to grow back. Although he will never have the same appearance as before the incident, that’s okay. He is adored by the shelter staff for who he is, and it turns out that everyone else agrees.
According to veterinarian Jessica Lynch, Justice was initially very depressed. He has come a long way since then and has developed into a joyful, spirited young dog with an abundance of personality.

After a year of medical care and training, Justice was ready for adoption, and many supporters, including those from other states and countries, had already expressed interest in adopting him. However, the shelter only accepted applications from people who lived within a 100-mile radius because the veterinarians wanted to be close by in case Justice needed further treatment in the future.
During his time at the shelter, Justice amassed a sizable following, and his adoptive parents continue to share updates about him on the shelter’s social media. They have made it clear that, despite his ordeal, the sweet pup is now enjoying life. As expected, Justice was quickly adopted and quickly adapted to his new home.

Due to his troubled past, Justice was difficult to train because he was often rebellious and resistant when told what to do. However, an exceptional dog trainer named Lexi worked with him for over a year to train him, and she claims that Justice has just one more training session with her.
Rolling over may appear insignificant, but for most dogs, it is a sign of vulnerability. Allowing his belly to be rubbed demonstrates that Justice genuinely trusts his humans because he knows that he will never be harmed again while in their care. Justice is now much more affectionate than before, and he even asks his loving parents for belly rubs.

The reward for the person’s conviction began at $5,000 and has now risen to $20,000. The shelter has been working tirelessly to identify those responsible for Justice’s mistreatment.
Although there is insufficient evidence to convict anyone of this heinous crime, numerous anonymous tips have brought the shelter closer to a resolution. They have identified an individual who previously owned Justice when his name was “Roscoe.” The person claims to have given Justice away before the incident; however, the truth remains unclear.

If you have any information about Justice’s situation, please contact the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter. The cruel individual who mistreated him must be held accountable for their actions as soon as possible.
